The Eufy S1 Pro
If you're looking for a robot vacuum that can also mop, this is the model you should go for. It's smaller than other models and makes it more maneuverable in tight corners or under furniture. It features a 220-degree Lidar that, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, gives it some of my favorite navigation and object avoidance capabilities I've seen in a robotic vacuum. It packs a powerful 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170-minutes if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can last longer in turbo). It can even return to the dock to top up its battery part way through a clean.
It's extremely quick and does a great job of cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It cleans the carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, hallways, and living room in a single pass. Its 8,000pa motor is able to remove dirt hair, pet hair, and even droppings with ease. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it comes into contact with rugs, and the two side brushes help to tease out dirt from corners.
The mopping efficiency, while still impressive, isn't as good. The mop rotates quickly and uses 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stains. I've also noticed that the front arms protrude out slightly more than other robots, which can be helpful to get into tight corners and on baseboards. Those same front arms can also be employed to clean larger objects, such as broken toys and books.
Another nice feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the most quiet robot vacuums and mops I've ever used. It doesn't make the same amount of noise when mopping or vacuuming, and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to use a proprietary mopping solution and is sold separately. It's simple to set up and performs well however it's something you'll have to be aware of if you're buying this robot vacuum solely for the reason of mopping.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It has a robust suite of features that make it an ideal choice for homeowners who want a highly effective, versatile and adaptable cleaning machine.
The device comes with an extremely powerful and impressive cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map the home and locate furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean intelligently and efficiently. This leads to an effective, consistent cleaning which is also relatively quick.
The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach many surfaces. They can reach corners and baseboards as well as other hard-to-reach areas. They also have a flexible side brush that can extend to the floor in close proximity to walls and other fixtures. The mop pads can also be washable and can be dried to remove odors and prevent buildup.
Another notable feature is the app-based customization options. affordable robot vacuum allows you to adjust the suction intensity and choose an back-and-forth or random pattern. You can also alter the number of passes it will make, which will determine how quickly the device can move through your home. Its powerful performance, smart navigation and long battery life make it simple to maintain a clean house with little effort.
The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop that is, it can do both vacuuming and mopping. It has two modules: a combined dry bin and water reservoir, and a separate mopping module with a microfiber pad that snaps into and out of position. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping may appear a bit dated but they're a good thing because that you don't need to worry about changing bags for disposables or refilling the tank with water.
Our test participants discovered that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming as well as mopping. The app was too easy and you had to switch the modules each time you changed between mops and vacuuming. The app is not able to keep multiple maps. This could be a problem if your home has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus is a good choice for people who want a smart robot that can do both mopping and vacuuming.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive item in our review. However, it does have distinct features that make it worth looking into. The X1 Omni's biggest draw is its massive dock which doubles as the robot's charging base as well as housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a cleaning sink as well as the 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically empties.
The base also comes with a set of buttons to control the system. These allow you to start a cleaning task, recall the robot, or start the dock's auto-emptying process. Press two buttons to toggle the child lock. This is a nice feature for parents worried about their children messing around with the vacuum.
Like other robotic vacuums, the Omni Omni uses its camera to spot furniture and obstacles in its path and eliminate them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.
The X1 can be prone to become stuck if it is entangled in a blockage, such as a power cable tangled over a rug. It will not work until you untangle it manually. This is a rare event however, it was a bit frustrating because the X1 doesn't have a "stuck status" alert in its app.
Another issue that could be a problem is another issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming modes during a cleaning session. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad however, the mopping pad isn't cleaned or dried between uses. This can lead to mildew and mold.
The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed the sleek modern base and mopping pad. It's a huge difference from the utilitarian black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. It's also a welcome sight for a market dominated by clunky boxy models.
